Vulnerable Tooting residents receive emergency fuel payments |
|

Vulnerable residents in Tooting will be able to keep warm throughout the cold snap thanks to emergency ‘cold weather payments’ they are automatically receiving from the government.
The £25/week payments are automatically paid out when the temperature drops below freezing for 7 days in a row.
In Tooting these payments began on the 4th January, and should arrive before residents receive their next fuel bill, so people should not worry about turning the heating up to keep warm throughout this period of cold weather.

Freedom passes not under threat |

A number of local residents have contacted me recently regarding the future of the freedom passes.
My letter to the Wandsworth Guardian, which was printed yesterday, outlines the truth of the situation (freedom passes are fully funded and not under threat!). If you have any questions about this please get in touch here.
