There are 49 more police officers in Wandsworth than ten years ago.
Sadiq secured the introduction of safer neighbourhood police teams a year early – we now have 8 teams dedicated to tackling crime in each part of the Tooting constituency.
Crime in Wandsworth is down by more than a third since 2002 – Labour’s policies have really worked!

Labour will protect the police budget.
Labour will require neighbourhood police teams to spend at least 80% of their time out on patrol.

The Tories won’t promise to protect the police budget if elected – when in power in the 1990s, they slashed police numbers.
They voted against 5-year minimum jail terms for carrying illegal guns.
