Sadiq helps raise money for Macmillan |

Sadiq recently joined June Allen, the lead Macmillan cancer nurse at St Georges Hospital hosted, at a coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan.
Altogther staff, patients and their relatives and together they raised £333.09 for the cancer charity.
Macmillan’s coffee mornings are the biggest in the country. Last year, more than 45,000 people held coffee mornings and, together with their family, friends and colleagues raised over £7.5 million.
Sadiq Khan MP said, “The work of the Macmillan Cancer Services at St George's is vitally important, giving people with cancer a very high level of care and practical support."
"The success of coffee mornings in previous years shows how much people care about raising money for cancer services."
“Every cup of coffee drunk at Macmillan coffee mornings, here in Tooting and around the country, will make a real difference and contribute to Macmillan's essential work."
June Allen, lead Macmillan cancer nurse at St George’s Hospital, said, “I am delighted that we managed to raise £330.”
“Our team of Macmillan Nurses at St George’s Hospital is one of the largest in the country. It will continue to grow and support people with cancer thanks to the generosity of everyone who came along and lent their support.”
“I’d like to thank Sadiq for coming along and supporting us.”
Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, medical and financial support for cancer sufferers as well as pushing for better cancer care.
