A brand new machine has been installed in the redeveloped foyer at St George’s Hospital, which will enable people to make donations to St George’s Hospital Charity at any time, day or night. The machine will give the Charity a permanent presence in the hospital and help to raise awareness of its appeals and the work that is does.
Sadiq Khan MP unveiled the new machine, and has welcomed the extra revenue that it will bring in for the Charity.
People can make donations using their credit or debit cards direct to the charity on the new machine, which works like a normal chip and pin machine, which most shops use.
The machine sits in the newly refurbished main entrance of St George’s Hospital, which was funded by donations to St George’s Hospital Charity.
Sadiq Khan MP said “The St George’s Hospital Charity does a fantastic job raising awareness and money for St George’s Hospital.”
“This new machine will give the charity a permanent presence in the hospital and will help to raise awareness, as well as being an easy way for people to make a donation.”
“I was particularly impressed with the visual screen, which can be tailored to reflect a specific fundraising campaign or issue.”
