Balham and Tooting Community Association today handed over a massive £4622 to St George’s Hospital Trust raised at their annual Funday.

BATCA organisers and local MP Sadiq Khan handed the cheque over to the trust at a special ceremony at the Wolfson Neurorehabilitation Centre in Wimbledon. The £4622 will go towards exercise equipment for wheelchair users and will help people from across South London.

The Wolfson Neurorehabilitation Centre is part of the St George's Hospital. The Centre provides specialist care not available at other hospitals or in the community and cares for people from across London and the Home Counties.

Sadiq Khan MP said “I always look forward to the BATCA annual fun day.

“I am very proud to be able to be here again to present a cheque for £4622.35 to Wolfson Neurorehabilitation Centre.” 

“It’s fantastic that they’ve raised over a £1000 more than last year.”

“I know that Wolfson Neurorehabilitation Centre is going to be putting the money to fantastic use by purchasing essential exercise equipment for wheelchair users.”
