STOP PRESS - Residents 1-0 Springfield
Wednesday, 04 March 2009 17:52

I am extremely pleased to tell you that I have read a copy of the report written by the Council’s Planning Committee officers that will go to the Planning Applications Committee meeting on Thursday 12th March 2009.

The planning officer has recommended to the Councillors that they refuse the outline application to redevelop Springfield on 8 separate grounds (in a 56 page report)!

However, this does not mean that the application has been rejected. The report is simply a recommendation which the Councillors can ignore if they choose to do so.

The Committee meets next Thursday at 7:30pm at Wandsworth Town Hall. I understand that the Council Chamber is not available to be used for the meeting and so I have asked the Chief Executive to find a room big enough to accommodate all the local residents who will wish to go along and see the Committee meet and decide on this very important application.

If you know anyone who has not yet objected there is still time to do so. All objections will be relevant not simply for the Planning Application Committee next Thursday but also should the developers decide to appeal against their decision,
