| Sadiq lobbies Home Secretary on local police cuts |

Sadiq has written to the Home Secretary, Theresa May, asking her to protect front-line policing and the local police Safer Neighbourhood Teams that have helped cut crime to the lowest levels nationally since 1981. Cuts of up to 40% have been threatened to the policing budget, which could mean tens of thousands of police officers lost across the country, and hundreds in London.
