Yes to AV
Wednesday, 27 April 2011 16:14

Next Thursday people across the UK will vote in a referendum on whether or not to keep the current voting system (FPTP/'First Past The Post'), or change to 'AV' - the Alternative Vote system - for electing MPs to the House of Commons.

You can read more about the referendum, and the differences between the two voting systems at the Electoral Commission's website here.

I'll be voting 'Yes'.  Here are some of my colleagues in the Labour Party (and yours truly) explaining why we're supporting a change to the voting system...

For more information visit the ‘Labour Yes’ and ‘Yes to Fairer Votes’ campaigns.
