MPs and councillors celebrate re-opening of Balham Station The station also has new ticketing facilities, a new entrance as well as a lift. MPs Sadiq Khan and Jane Ellison were at the re-opening, after the station received funding from The National Station Improvement scheme. Earlsfield Station also has received money from the fund. Sadiq Khan MP said: “”It’s now great to see further improvements being made to modernise Balham Station for all passengers, including even greater improvements to accessibility. “With ever increasing numbers of local residents using public transport, and fares going up each year, it’s important that passengers see significant improvements in services and standards.” |
