Wandsworth Council say that as long as 60 per cent of your road supports creating a ‘no cold calling zone' then the Community Safety Department in the Council will work with residents to create such a zone. You can speak to your neighbours about this or it is understand that the Council can send letters to residents on your road to ascertain whether people support the creation of a ‘no cold calling zone'.
A ‘no cold calling zone' means that all residents will be provided with a sticker to place in their window and an incident report pack which can be used to note down the details of any callers. Street signs are usually also erected in the area of the zone. You can find more information about the scheme and its successes here
