Charity 'ambulance pull' buys new equipment for children's unit at St George's Hospital... tnchequehandover.jpg

Sadiq was extremely pleased to present a cheque for £3511 to the paediatric intensive care unit at St George's Hospital this week.

The money had been raised by local emergency services volunteers in a sponsored 'ambulance pull' at the recent Balham and Tooting Community Association fun day.

The raised money will be enough to purchase a portable ultrasound machine, which will make it easier for medical staff to treat very young patients more effectively by allowing them to locate veins in young children that conventional ultrasound equipment cannot.

Sadiq would like to thank all those who took part in this potentially lifesaving fundraising effort.
