Sadiq has also secured funding for a new station entrance, a new lift and other major renovations, which will help tackle many of the serious overcrowding, ticketing and access issues affecting the station. Since Sadiq’s election in 2005 Earlsfield Station has also benefited from better accessibility, a new passenger help point and improved ticketing facilities. Sadiq Khan MP said, "I grew up minutes from Earlsfield Station. It's so much busier than it used to be, so I'm fighting to provide a better service for local residents."
